Age Concern Hampshire, a registered charity, is celebrating 40 years of service to older people in Hampshire. The organisation has launched a fundraising campaign, “£40k for 40 Years,” in February 2025, with the aim of raising £40,000 through community-led events.
Since its establishment in 1985, Age Concern Hampshire has been dedicated to improving the lives of older people by providing essential services, engaging activities, and specialised dementia support. To ensure this vital work continues, the charity is calling on communities and businesses to get involved by either fundraising or becoming a Corporate Sponsor. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
To assist participants in planning and executing successful events, the charity has created comprehensive fundraising packs. These resources offer guidance on event selection, effective promotion, and donation maximisation. An A-Z Fundraising Guide is also available to inspire creative ideas. To ensure smooth event planning, participants are asked to complete an Event Planning Form to capture all essential details.
Donations from fundraising events can be made through the charity’s dedicated JustGiving page, where UK taxpayers can boost their contributions by 25% at no extra cost through Gift Aid. To celebrate community involvement, supporters are encouraged to share event photos and updates with the charity, inspiring others and showcasing the impact of their efforts.
Brogan Rehill, Head of Fundraising and Volunteer Services at Age Concern Hampshire, said, “As we celebrate 40 years of supporting older people across Hampshire, we’re inviting individuals, community groups, and businesses to get involved in this special campaign. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue making a difference for years to come.”
