A new mobile application, called ‘Bushy Bingo’, has been released with the aim of inspiring young nature explorers throughout the UK.

Independent app studio MonkeyDoDev has announced the release of their latest app, Bushy Bingo, on Friday 23rd May 2025. The family-friendly nature exploration app is designed specifically for young children aged 3 to 7, encouraging them to head outdoors and learn about wildlife while having fun.

Inspired by the beautiful parks and green spaces of Britain, Bushy Bingo transforms wildlife spotting into an interactive bingo-style game. Children can mark off animals as they see them, earning points based on the rarity of each creature. The app is now available on both the App Store and Google Play.

With 18 animals to discover, Bushy Bingo offers a variety of species for children to learn about. Each animal comes with a colourful fact sheet, providing engaging and child-friendly details about its diet, habitat, and fun facts. These facts are delivered by one of three lively characters: Otto the Scientist, Belle the Fairy, and Cowboy Gus. The app has been carefully designed to encourage outdoor play, minimize screen time, and nurture children’s curiosity about the world around them.

Founder of MonkeyDoDev, Alex Cretney, explains the purpose behind the app, saying, “Bushy Bingo was created to help families reconnect with nature and make outdoor time even more meaningful. It’s a fun way for young children to learn about wildlife while enjoying fresh air and adventure with their families.”

The app is free to play and includes Otto the Scientist as the character voice, three fun facts per animal, and bright, summer-themed artwork. For even more fun, an optional premium upgrade is available, which doubles the number of animals, triples the available characters, and more than quadruples the number of fun facts to over 300. It also introduces seasonal artwork to reflect the changing parkland and countryside scenery throughout the year.

MonkeyDoDev is an independent UK-based app studio that specializes in developing engaging and meaningful mobile apps for iOS and Android. Their previous release, Buck The Critics, is a social movie review app that allows friends to share and compare their film opinions in a private, social database.

Bushy Bingo is now available to download on iOS and Android devices. For more information, visit the app’s download links and press kit provided by MonkeyDoDev.
