James Finch-Knightley, a British entrepreneur and seasoned e-skateboarder, has launched PevClean, the UK’s first all-in-one waterless cleaning solution and nano protectant created specifically for personal electric vehicles (PEVs).
With electric rides such as e-skateboards, e-scooters and e-bikes becoming increasingly popular, riders have lacked a cleaner designed to meet the delicate balance between high performance and electronic safety. PevClean offers a solution designed from the ground up for today’s e-riders.
After two years of research and real-world testing, the innovative product is now available to customers both in the UK and overseas.
“I built PevClean because nothing out there respected the electronics, paintwork, or design of my boards. It was either too harsh, too weak, or just not made for the way we ride,” said Finch-Knightley, who’s been riding e-skates for over a decade. “Now, we’ve created something from the community, for the community.”
PevClean is a water-free spray that simply wipes away dirt without risking corrosion or damage to sensitive components.
The product is compatible with paint, plastic, carbon fibre, grip tape, wood, and internal electronics. It also delivers a nano-shielding layer that repels dirt, moisture, and salt, helping keep rides cleaner for longer.
Created in a Suffolk garage, PevClean’s development included rigorous testing across UK roads, pavements and seafronts. Finch-Knightley and his partner Rebecca, also an experienced electric rider, trialled several iterations with community riders, showcasing its effectiveness and safety in a range of environments.
Now launched, PevClean is sold in 500ml bottles priced at £14.00 via www.pevclean.com/shop, offering free UK delivery and international shipping.
The company is also open to retail partnerships, global distribution enquiries, and influencer collaborations.
