Wattens, Austria – June 18, 2025 – After months of negotiations, the shareholders of Swarovski have reached a unanimous decision to create an integrated Crystal Group. This decision was made in order to pave the way for a successful future for the company. All legal disputes have been settled, allowing for a smooth transition into this new phase of business development.
The creation of the integrated Crystal Group will involve incorporating Swarovski’s Wattens-based business and will provide a solid foundation for the company’s continued growth. The Swarovski, Weis, and Frey families, who own the company, see this move as an opportunity to independently develop and expand their various businesses, including Tyrolit and Swarovski Optik, in addition to the Crystal Business.
Over the past four years, there has been significant progress seen in the Crystal Business, and the creation of the integrated Crystal Group is expected to further accelerate this growth. This includes plans to modernize the Wattens site and establish it as Swarovski’s global innovation hub.
Swarovski Crystal, founded by Daniel Swarovski over 130 years ago, is one of Europe’s largest family-owned luxury companies. The Swarovski Group is currently owned by family shareholders spanning across the fourth, fifth, and sixth generations.
