Chetwood Bank has appointed Rob Pomphrett as their newest Non-Executive Director to their board.

Chetwood Bank, a UK-based digital challenger, has announced the appointment of Rob Pomphrett as a non-executive director on Thursday, 24th July 2025. Pomphrett, a former executive at Royal Bank of Canada, brings decades of senior banking experience to the board of the digital bank, as it prepares to enter its next phase of growth.

With over 30 years in the financial markets, Pomphrett has specialized in trading risk and has led international teams across various areas including credit, interest rates, government bonds, and structured products. His extensive career at Royal Bank of Canada spanned nearly 20 years, where he held prestigious roles such as Global Head of Treasury Services, Head of Global Markets Financial Resource Management, and Head of Principal Finance.

Having started his career in London, Pomphrett has also held senior positions in New York and Hong Kong, where he oversaw the origination, marketing, and trading of debt products. Currently, he is pursuing a portfolio career and serves as treasurer and board member for Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE London) and Possible, an environmental charity focused on climate action.

Chetwood Bank, founded in 2016, offers digital-first savings and mortgage products through its ModaMortgages and CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries brands. With the addition of Pomphrett to the board, the bank aims to utilize his expertise to expand its offerings and explore new asset class opportunities while staying true to its strategic objectives.
