New Drama, Dance & Musical Theatre Group for Children and Young Adults with SEND Launches in East Surrey and Sussex
Head2Head Sensory Theatre, a charity organization dedicated to providing theatre experiences for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), is excited to announce the launch of their new program, A Sense Of Fun. The program is designed for children aged 7-13 and young adults 14+ with SEND in East Surrey and Sussex.
Anni Rhodes Steere, founder of Head2Head Sensory Theatre, stated, “This innovative program brings musical theatre to a nurturing, multi-sensory environment. It is tailored to meet the varied sensory, communication, and mobility needs of participants. Facilitated by inspiring professionals, sessions combine accessible storytelling, creative movement, and music to engage and inspire every learner.” The weekly sessions will begin in September, taking place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoons.
The sessions will be held at The Barn Hub, located in Crowhurst Lane End near Oxted, Surrey. The small-group format, with a maximum of 12 participants, will allow for individualized support, creative expression, and performance pieces at G-Live in Guildford and The Barn Hub. Head2Head Sensory Theatre is known for delivering inclusive arts experiences through sensory-rich tools such as props, music, visual narratives, and tactile engagement. With the A Sense Of Fun group, the charity continues its mission of making the performing arts accessible to all, especially through accessible theatre for SEND. The sessions are open to all levels.
