£8.1 Billion in Secret PCP Commissions Uncovered – Millions of UK Motorists Could Claim Refunds

UK motorists have collectively overpaid an astonishing £8.1 billion in hidden car finance commissions over a 14-year period, according to claims firm TotalClaim.

Between 2007 and 2021, car dealerships frequently used Discretionary Commission Arrangements (DCAs), enabling them to inflate customer interest rates in order to earn higher commissions — often without any transparency.

Following concerns over mis sold finance, the FCA banned DCAs in January 2021. Investigations suggest that 14.6 million car finance deals were impacted, with customers paying on average £1,100 more than they should have.
