Green plans to expand its operations into Europe with plans to build additional data centers.

Swiss data center provider Green has announced the start of its expansion into Europe, with the first stage taking place in Germany. The company, known for providing top-of-the-line data center services to corporate and cloud customers, has established a subsidiary in Germany under the name Green Datacenter Germany GmbH. The move comes as part of Green’s continued growth strategy and in response to the increasing demand for energy-efficient and high-availability data center capacity.

Green currently operates six data centers at four locations in Switzerland, with three more under construction. The company is committed to energy efficiency, technological innovation, and long-term benefits for its customers, partners, and the region. “The expansion into Germany marks another milestone in our growth strategy. As an expert in sustainable data centers, Green is meeting the growing demand created by AI and digitalization with powerful, energy-efficient infrastructure,” says Roger Süess, CEO of Green.

To lead the expansion into Germany, Heiko Siats has been appointed as the Managing Director of Green Datacenter Germany GmbH. Siats brings over 20 years of experience in developing and operating critical infrastructure, including data centers, to his new role. He is known for his technical expertise, business acumen, and strong industry connections. Siats will be responsible for establishing a local team and overseeing the implementation of various projects. “Developing and operating data centers is just the beginning – the key is to work with customers, partners, and the region to create lasting value,” says Siats.

This expansion into Germany is just the beginning of Green’s plans for growth in Europe. The company is currently evaluating data center locations in the Frankfurt am Main area, with the aim of providing energy-efficient, high-availability data center capacity to meet the increasing demand from companies and cloud providers.

The company offers georedundant high-performance computing for cloud providers and large companies, as well as comprehensive networking solutions across all locations.
