Thinkers50 has been recognized by the Financial Times as “the Oscars of Management Thinking.”

Leading business and management thinker Henry Stewart has been chosen to receive the prestigious Founders Award from Thinkers50. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the world of thought and leadership.

Stuart Crainer and Des Dearlove, founders of Thinkers50, personally select the recipients of the Founders’ Award. According to the organization, the award aims to celebrate individuals who have made a significant impact and deserve greater recognition for their work and achievements.

Crainer and Dearlove spoke highly of Stewart, stating, “We have long admired the work Henry Stewart has done at Happy and more broadly in championing workplaces fit for the twenty-first century. The impact he has made is considerable. He has helped make workplaces more fun and humane environments. There is, of course, much to do and we are sure he will carry on campaigning for many more years.”

Stewart, founder and Chief Happiness Officer of Happy Ltd., expressed his gratitude for being chosen for the award, saying, “I am really honoured to receive the Founders Award. It has always been my mission to help people feel happy and empowered at work. It has been incredibly satisfying to see thousands of organisations adopt the principles of The Happy Manifesto, and hear their success stories.”

Stewart founded Happy Ltd. in 1987, originally known as Happy Computers. Inspired by Ricardo Semler’s book Maverick, he has built the company into a multiple award-winning organization, known for its exceptional customer service and being one of the UK’s best places to work.

He was listed in the Guru Radar of the Thinkers 50 list of the most influential management thinkers in the world. “He is one of the thinkers who we believe will shape the future of business,” explained list compiler Stuart Crainer.

Stewart has also authored three books, including his latest release, Creating Joy at Work: 501+ Ideas for a Happy Workplace. The book, filled with real-life examples, aims to inspire leaders to create workplaces based on empowerment and working to strengths.

Thinkers50, known as “The Oscars of management thinking” by the Financial Times, recognizes leading business and management ideas through its Ranking of Management Thinkers and Distinguished Achievement Awards. The Thinkers50 annual Radar list highlights emerging thinkers, while the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame celebrates the legacy of influential thinkers.

The Thinkers50 brand, guided by the core values of independence, integrity, and accessibility, is a globally respected source of objective market intelligence, making it the leading authority in management ideas.

Congratulations to Henry Stewart on this well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the world of thought and leadership.
