The Sunshine Volunteers Organization and Centre for National Culture, Ashanti Region have joined forces to launch a new performing arts volunteer program in Kumasi, Ghana. This collaboration aims to promote cross-cultural exchange and community engagement through the arts.
The program, titled ‘PERFORMING ARTS’, is a unique opportunity for international performing arts students and professionals to work alongside Ghanaian practitioners. Together, they will create cross-cultural performances and outreach programs for the local community.
Kieran Turnbull, founder of The Sunshine Volunteers Organization, expresses his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “As someone who has always had a passion for live theatre, music, and the performing arts as a whole, I am really excited to have been involved in the creation of this new volunteer program.” He hopes that the program will encourage students and professionals in the performing arts space to make a positive impact in communities across Ghana.
