intec Gesellschaft für Informationstechnik mbH, the German leader in telecommunications measurement technology, will showcase its ARGUS® brand multifunction testers at ANGA COM in Cologne this year. Europe’s premier broadband and content provider business platform will feature the twice award-winning ARGUS® 300 and the new compact fiber tester, the ARGUS® F240.
The ARGUS® F240 is a selective 5-fold power meter that allows for simultaneous determination of optical levels on the different downstream (OLT) and upstream (ONT) wavelengths for GPON, XGS-PON and a video overlay via five separate filters. It also enables the detection of any other transmitters that may be on the line (alien ONT) and the reading of the PON ID from the PLOAM message. For complete ONT simulation, the ARGUS® can conduct IP and performance tests at up to 2.5 Gbit/s on GPON and XGS-PON.
Additional features of the ARGUS® F240 include WLAN analyzer, triple play tests such as VoIP, IPTV and data tests in the form of upload/download, ping and traceroute, iperf or high-performance IP speed tests and the deployment of Active Ethernet (AON) through the SFP slot. The Fiber-Inspection-Tool can also be connected via USB to detect scratches and defects on optical fibers and display them as a video image and in tabular form.
intec will be exhibiting at ANGA COM from May 23-25, Hall 7, Booth F44. Image material is available upon request by email to A.
