Tinnitus UK has announced the launch of the world’s largest online tinnitus conference for 2023.

Tinnitus UK has today announced the return of their annual tinnitus conference, which will be held virtually this year from Monday 25 September to Friday 29 September 2023. Following the success of the previous event, which attracted attendees from 23 countries, the conference will provide flexibility for both UK and international visitors, with on-demand viewing, a dedicated networking area and an improved online interface.

The conference will feature lectures, case studies, networking meetings and seminars, with each day focusing on a different theme, such as the psychology of tinnitus, practical skills and the latest research. Speakers have been confirmed from various countries, including experts Dr Eldré Beukes from Aston University, Zahra Jafari from the University of Lethbridge, Dr Marc Fagleson from East Tennessee State University, Stefan Schoisswohl from the University of Regensburg and Tinnitus UK’s own presentation on a tinnitus chatbot.

Caroline Savage, CEO of Tinnitus UK, commented: “We are delighted to be able to bring some of the best international experts to the Tinnitus Conference 2023, making it a “do not miss” event for the tinnitus community. In these demanding times, the flexibility of an online conference, and the cost and time saving it offers, without any decrease in the quality of the sessions means the Tinnitus Conference continues to grow and helps promote progress to our ultimate goal, of a world where no one suffers from tinnitus.”

Lenire® is the headline sponsor for the event, with an ‘early bird’ rate of £100 available until 26 June 2023 and standard tickets costing £140. Group discounts are also available, and tickets include access to all recorded conference material until 1 December 2023.

Tinnitus is the sensation of hearing a sound when there is no external source for that sound, and is estimated to affect 7.6 million people in the UK, with 1.5 million of them having severe tinnitus. Tinnitus UK is dedicated to helping those living with tinnitus by providing free support, leading the charge for more investment in tinnitus research, connecting research to people living with tinnitus, and working with healthcare professionals.

Tickets for the Tinnitus Conference 2023 are now available, with more information available at www.tinnitusconference23book.co.uk.
