SHORE the Scottish Seaweed Company has been honoured with an impressive three stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards, the UK’s most prestigious food and drink scheme.
The company’s two-star award was given for its newly launched Chilli Ramen Broth, while the already popular Peking Duck Seaweed Chips won a one-star rating. This adds to SHORE’s previous Great Taste winner, Sweet Sriracha Seaweed Chips, and further confirms the company’s commitment to producing better-for-you products that never compromise on taste.
The Chilli Ramen Broth is an all-natural, plant-based Asian-themed liquid crafted from Scottish seaweed. According to the judges, it is “umami in a glass”, offering a “light and fresh instant ramen”. This is the second win for the product, having previously been awarded Gold at the Free From Food Awards.
Head of SHORE, Keith Paterson, expressed his delight at the double win. “This is great recognition of the quality of the SHORE products we are offering, and everyone who contributed to creating them,” he said.
SHORE’s Ramen Broths and Peking Duck Seaweed Chips can be found in independent stores and online at Amazon, while the latter can be purchased in selected Coops in Scotland, Holland & Barrett and Booths nationwide.
