Eastbourne is hosting WynterCon X, a Comic-Con with a unique twist!

Eastbourne’s Comic-Con with a twist, WynterCon X, is just two months away and organisers have revealed a star-studded line-up of special guests and attractions.

Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf, The Brittas Empire, Tomb Raider), Colin Baker (Doctor Who’s sixth incarnation), Ross Mullan (Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who), Clive Mantle (Alien 3, Superman IV, Game Of Thrones), Sandeep Mohan (Star Wars the Force Awakens, Justice League), Carla Mendonça (My Parents Are Aliens, Motor Mouth) and Jon Campling (Harry Potter, The Northman) will be among those attending the event.

Visitors to WynterCon X will have the opportunity to explore a range of interactive attractions, including a full size replica of the Ghostbusters vehicle, Ecto-1, and Johnny (number) 5 from the classic 1986 movie, ‘Short Circuit’. There will also be hand crafted replica props from the movie ‘The Labyrinth’ and two animatronic baby dragons that are over two metres long.

The Cosplay Hall will return for another year, featuring displays, photo opportunities, a stage area and an adjudicated competition with prizes for the respective winners. The hall is made possible by local broadband provider, Lightning Fibre.

The Worksop Hall, in partnership with Sky Creative Sussex, WynterCon’s Charity Partner, will be filled with educational workshop tasters based around the charity values including arts, crafts, computer programming and more.

The trade floor of the event will showcase vendors selling a variety of items, including toys, homewares, sweets and treats, prop weapons, table top gaming and accessories, jewellery and much more.
