Stanley Chow and Big Issue North are providing warmth from head to toe this winter.

Celebrated artist Stanley Chow and sock specialists Stand4Socks have partnered with Big Issue North to create a series of limited-edition charity socks to help support those experiencing poverty and homelessness in the North of England.

The three designs feature Stanley Chow’s trademark illustrations of a Big Issue North vendor and Santa Claus. All profits from the sales of the socks will be donated to Big Issue North, and each pair purchased will also result in the donation of a pair of antibacterial socks to a person experiencing homelessness on the buyer’s behalf.

Speaking of the collaboration, Stanley Chow said: “I got the chance to design the pair of socks I’ve always wanted to wear and selling them will help raise money for a charity that I wholeheartedly support… what’s not to like about that?!”

Josh Turner, Founder of Stand4Socks, added: “Personally, this is my favourite collaboration we’ve been involved with this year. To be able to support the work that Big Issue North do to support people experiencing poverty to earn an income is fantastic. Combining that with our socks, if you’ll excuse the pun, makes the perfect pair.”

Roli Barker, director of Big Issue North, said: “We believe that everyone has the right to work their way out of poverty and deserves to be helped along the way. These amazing socks can set someone on that path to changing their lives.”

The limited-edition charity socks retail at £12.99 each with the option to buy all three designs for the special price of £29.99. For every pair purchased, a pair of antibacterial socks will also be donated to a person experiencing homelessness.

Stanley Chow, renowned for his vector illustrations of famous faces from the worlds of music, television, film and sport, has worked with the likes of The White Stripes and The New York Times, but remains an unmistakably Mancunian phenomenon.

Big Issue North, Stand4Socks and Stanley Chow have come together to create a unique opportunity to purchase exclusive artwork whilst simultaneously supporting people experiencing poverty and homelessness in the North of England.

Josh Turner, Founder of Stand4Socks summarised: “Bringing together Stanley’s iconic style, our sock expertise and Big Issue North’s purpose is a perfect mix of Manchester’s unique energy.”
