“Mental Health Matters and Chasing the Stigma Partner to Enhance Awareness of Mental Health Services”

Mental Health Charity Partners with Chasing the Stigma to Promote Local Services

On Monday, January 15, 2024, National Charity Mental Health Matters announced a new partnership with Chasing the Stigma to raise awareness about the mental health services available to people in their local communities.

As part of this collaboration, Mental Health Matters will be utilizing Chasing the Stigma’s Hub of Hope, the largest mental health support directory in the UK, to connect individuals with relevant services and support groups.

According to Mental Health Matters, a Support Worker from their 24/7 helpline has observed that many people are unaware of the support services available to them in their local area. By incorporating the Hub of Hope into their website, the charity hopes to reach even more individuals in need of support.

The Support Worker shared, “I often inform callers about the Hub of Hope. It not only connects them with services, but also allows them to connect with others who have similar experiences. For instance, one caller recently discovered a local breakfast meet-up for veterans through the platform. The ability to search by location also helps me to draw on local knowledge.”

The Hub of Hope, which helped over 100,000 people last year, is now integrated into Mental Health Matters’ website, providing easy access to their own range of services. This will enable individuals to find the help they need in a timely and efficient manner.

Jake Mills, Founder and CEO of Chasing the Stigma, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Partnering with Mental Health Matters is not just a collaboration, it’s a shared commitment to extending our reach and impact. Mental Health Matters has been a longstanding ally of Chasing the Stigma, and I am immensely proud to officially join forces with them. In the world of mental health support, collective efforts are paramount. Together, we will break down barriers, eliminate stigma, and ensure that no one walks their mental health journey alone.”

The Hub of Hope can be easily accessed through the App, available for download on the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android), or online at www.hubofhope.co.uk or www.mhm.org.uk/Hub-of-Hope.
