Volunteers are being sought to help support older individuals in Hampshire.

Age Concern Hampshire, a charity dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older individuals, is seeking volunteers to assist vulnerable older people with form-filling tasks. The charity recognizes the challenges faced by older individuals in navigating paperwork and online form-filling processes, and is committed to providing practical assistance to help them access crucial services, benefits, and support.

Yvonne Hiscock, Information Service Senior Coordinator, emphasizes the importance of the charity’s form-filling service, stating, “Our service would not be possible without the amazing dedication from our team of volunteers.” She encourages anyone with a passion for helping others and making a difference to consider volunteering with Age Concern Hampshire.

The charity’s information service offers tailored home visits to assist with form-filling, particularly for isolated and vulnerable individuals who may feel overwhelmed or isolated by the digital divide. Volunteers are trained to provide guidance and support in accurately and efficiently completing essential forms and applications such as attendance allowance or blue badge applications.

Age Concern Hampshire is committed to building a more inclusive and supportive community for older people to thrive. Volunteering plays a pivotal role in enabling the charity to provide invaluable support, and even a few hours of volunteering can make a real difference.
