X-CAGO B.V, a Dutch specialist for data and content conversion in international publishing, has announced the appointment of Andreas Gericke-von Skotnicki as its new managing director. Gericke-von Skotnicki will take over the role from Koos Hussem, who has been with the company for over 25 years, in mid-August.
Hussem, who founded X-CAGO in 2000, will continue to work with the company in the coming months before moving on to new projects at the beginning of 2025. He expressed his excitement about Gericke-von Skotnicki’s appointment, saying, “I am delighted that Andreas has opted to join us. He is a well-established part of the German-language publishing scene. With his knowledge, we can also establish X-CAGO as the leading provider of high-quality and fast data conversion for content producers in the D-A-CH region.”
Gericke-von Skotnicki brings a wealth of experience in the publishing industry to his new role. He worked as a legal advisor for media law at the parent company of Süddeutsche Zeitung for over a decade. In 2019, he took on the responsibility for national and international license marketing at the newspaper’s content marketer, DIZ München GmbH, and has been its managing director since 2022.
Speaking about his new role, Gericke-von Skotnicki said, “Particularly in the last six years as chairman of the general meeting of PMG, I have witnessed the great potential harboured by classic publishing content. Together with my colleagues from X-CAGO, I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that are also offered by the international content market.”
