Boerse Stuttgart Digital, the crypto infrastructure partner of DZ BANK, has announced a major milestone for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in Europe. The German cooperative banking group, one of the largest in Europe and second largest in Germany, will now offer regulated cryptocurrency trading and custody services to its retail customers through its partnership with Boerse Stuttgart Digital.
The implementation of this infrastructure has already begun, with the first banks set to be connected later this year. A phased roll-out will follow, including a testing phase for select retail customers.
This partnership between Boerse Stuttgart Digital and DZ BANK is a significant move towards mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in Europe. With predictions that up to 25 percent of Europeans will invest in cryptocurrencies by 2028, there is immense potential for banks and brokers in the crypto retail market.
“We offer Boerse Stuttgart Digital’s proven and fully regulated crypto trading and custody infrastructure to financial institutions across Europe. This is especially interesting for financial institutions which put a particular focus on professionalism, security, reliability, and trust – as does DZ BANK,” says Dr Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Boerse Stuttgart Group.
