Berlin Hosts World Health Summit to Address Global Health Challenges
The World Health Summit, one of the largest and most influential gatherings of global health experts and decision-makers, will take place in Berlin from October 13-15, 2024. This year’s summit, with the theme “Building Trust for a Healthier World,” will bring together over 350 speakers and several thousand participants from all regions of the world to discuss pressing issues in global health.
The summit will focus on a wide range of topics, including the financing of the World Health Organization (WHO), Germany’s role in global health, antimicrobial resistance, and digitalization. Attendees will include ministers, government officials, representatives from science and the private sector, civil society, and international organizations.
A highlight of the summit will be the presentation of the WHO Investment Round on October 14 at 6:00 PM CEST. Confirmed speakers for this event include German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and Bill Gates, Chair of the Gates Foundation. The event, titled “All for Health, Health for All: Signature Event for the WHO Investment Round,” is co-hosted by Germany, France, and Norway, key supporters of the round.
