Telecom Acquisitions has established itself as a major player in the residential broadband supply market, with their latest move being a wholesale agreement with KCOM. KCOM, a leading broadband provider in Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire, has signed an agreement with TAL’s brand Eclipse Broadband to expand their network and provide services to customers in the area.
The partnership will see Eclipse Broadband marketing and supporting solutions on the recently cabled fibre network in parts of East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, starting November 19th.
Eclipse Broadband was acquired by TAL in 2021 and previously operated as a KCOM brand, serving around 10,000 offnet customers. This partnership will provide customers with a wider range of options and enhance their overall experience.
Nigel Barnett, CEO of TAL, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This project has been some time in the making, but we’ve always had a great working relationship with the KCOM team which has made this exciting opportunity possible.”
He also highlighted TAL’s combined 4.4 Trust Pilot Rating of ‘Excellent’ and their success in expanding their customer base in the last twelve months, thanks to partnerships with other ISPs in the area.
KCOM’s Managing Director of Enterprise, Jan Collins, also commented on the partnership, saying, “KCOM’s full fibre network powers thousands of homes and businesses across Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire. This new deal with TAL means that more customers in our expansion areas can access the benefits of our fast, secure, and reliable network via the Eclipse broadband brand.”
This partnership further solidifies TAL Group’s presence in the area, following their acquisition of bases developed by other ISPs like Open Fibre, Link Broadband, Infinics Broadband, and Zybre.
TAL’s success can be attributed to the comprehensive range of services they offer to residential customers, thanks to their nationwide postcode checker. This online solution allows customers to quickly determine which network services are available in their area from leading network suppliers in the UK.
TAL trades under multiple brands, including Eclipse Broadband, Home Telecom, and Fleur Telecom. They have also partnered with other network suppliers such as CityFibre, FullFibre, MS3, Freedom Fibre, and F&W Networks, in addition to traditional services provided by TalkTalk, BT, Vodafone, Virgin, and Sky.
KCOM, based in East Yorkshire, is a leading provider of communications and IT services in the region, connecting customers and empowering local communities.
Both TAL and KCOM are looking forward to commencing their partnership on November 19th, 2024.
