Age Concern Hampshire Launches Festive Campaign to Spread Cheer into the New Year

Age Concern Hampshire, a charity focused on supporting older people in Hampshire, is excited to announce the launch of their new festive campaign, “Let’s Spread Cheer into the New Year”. This campaign aims to highlight the vital role the charity’s services have played in bringing much-needed cheer and positivity into the lives of older people, as well as their families and carers.

The campaign, which officially kicks off on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, will focus on rallying support from the public and corporate partners to ensure that Age Concern Hampshire can continue its mission beyond 2025. The donations raised through this campaign will enable the charity to continue offering their vital services, spreading cheer to even more older people in the coming year.

Through images and highlights from the past year, the campaign will showcase the essential services provided by Age Concern Hampshire in delivering support and spreading cheer to older people, especially during the holiday season when they can feel particularly isolated.

One of the key services provided by Age Concern Hampshire is dementia support at their Care & Wellbeing Centres. The charity also offers support leaving the hospital through their Hospital to Home Service, various social groups, and other community initiatives.

Hannah Park, Head of Operations at Age Concern Hampshire, said, “Our services are crucial in ensuring older people feel supported and valued throughout the year. With the help of public and corporate donations, we can continue to bring joy and comfort into their lives, not only this Christmas but into 2025 as well.”

To support the “Let’s Spread Cheer into the New Year” campaign, Age Concern Hampshire is calling on individuals, businesses, and organisations to donate through their JustGiving page. The charity is also open to accepting local sponsors for the campaign. Every contribution will go towards supporting the charity’s services, allowing them to continue providing care, companionship, and support to older people in need. Donations can be made through Age Concern Hampshire’s JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/xmas24 or by contacting the Fundraising team for sponsorship opportunities at supporters@ageconcernhampshire.org.uk.
