Applebridge Geoenvironmental has been awarded a place on the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy Ground Investigation Framework—an important achievement that reflects the company’s reputation for technical excellence and commitment to infrastructure development. The firm is part of the wider Applebridge Family construction group.
The framework, valued at £36 million across three years, will see Applebridge Geoenvironmental work alongside 11 other specialist contractors to deliver critical ground investigation services. The work will support a range of capital investment projects at water and wastewater treatment sites and along pipeline corridors crossing third-party land.
Applebridge’s responsibilities will include comprehensive site surveys, analysis, and detailed reporting to determine the essential geotechnical parameters for each scheme.
Speaking about the appointment, Anthony Owen, Managing Director of Applebridge Geoenvironmental, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Applebridge Geoenvironmental to contribute to a framework of this calibre. Securing our place reflects the depth of experience within our team. Being part of this framework strengthens our position in the Ground Investigation sector and enables us to support infrastructure projects that are vital to the communities served by Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy.”
The projects will be delivered in line with the ICE Specification for Ground Investigation (Third Edition, May 2022). Applebridge Geoenvironmental’s appointment was underpinned by its technical strength and experience, including past involvement in the management of this same framework by members of its current team.
Rebecca Vale, Category Manager at Severn Trent, said:
“We are pleased to welcome Applebridge Geoenvironmental to our ground investigations framework. We’ve got a massive £12bn of investment planned for the next five years and support from specialist companies like Applebridge in the early stages of any project helps to ensure a smooth build programme. We are looking forward to working with them across AMP8.”
This framework appointment adds to Applebridge Geoenvironmental’s growing portfolio of high-impact projects. As part of the Applebridge Family, the company remains committed to delivering quality and innovation across its operations and playing an active role in developing the UK’s essential infrastructure.
