World’s Fastest Automated Bin Picking Solution Unveiled by Industry Leaders
DELFT, NETHERLANDS – April 9, 2025 – Fizyr, Cognibotics, and Zivid have joined forces to introduce a groundbreaking automated bin picking solution that revolutionizes the logistics and automation industry. This new solution, equipped with advanced vision AI and cutting-edge robotics technology, is capable of picking up to 2,000 articles per hour with an impressive accuracy rate of 99.5%.
Fizyr, known for providing the most capable vision AI in the world, has teamed up with Cognibotics, a leading innovator in robotics technology, and Zivid, a market-leading provider of industrial 3D cameras, to create the fastest automated bin picking solution on the market. The Cognibotics HKM1800, with its unmatched reach and pick and place capabilities, is powered by Zivid’s 2+R-series 3D camera and Fizyr’s PANOPTICTM, an advanced vision software that identifies and processes products, prioritizes picks, determines grasp positions, and verifies placement.
According to Ken Fleming, CEO of Fizyr, “For years, logistics and automation professionals have been searching for solutions to streamline the intake process in dynamic environments. By combining the best components into one solution, we have achieved unprecedented speed and accuracy.”
The Zivid 2+R-series camera boasts a lightning-fast capture speed of under 150 milliseconds, even when faced with shiny or transparent objects. This ensures that it does not slow down the Cognibotics HKM1800, which can achieve a remarkable pick rate of up to 2,000 articles per hour and covers a workspace of 10m2. Fizyr’s PANOPTICTM software handles segmentation, shape detection, and material detection, while also sequencing pick order, identifying grip locations, selecting the appropriate gripper, and directing the order of operations to achieve a 99.5% success rate.
Fredrik Malmgren, CEO of Cognibotics, stated, “The combination of Cognibotics, Zivid, and Fizyr brings unparalleled reach, speed, and adaptability to bin picking. Our HKM1800 robot, with its impressive 10m² reach and up to 2,000 picks per hour, allows for groundbreaking solutions and layout possibilities that were previously thought impossible.”
Mikkel Orheim, SVP Sales & Marketing at Zivid, added, “Automated picking solutions are only as strong as their weakest component. That’s why we are proud to partner with companies like Cognibotics and Fizyr, who constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible. It inspires us to deliver cameras like our 2+R series, which excel in the most challenging environments.”
Both Cognibotics and Zivid are key members of the Fizyr Partner Program, which aims to develop and deliver real-world, best-of-breed automation solutions to integrators. This new solution was recently showcased at Fizyr’s 2024 Automation & Robotics Conference and is already being incorporated into world-class warehouse management systems by top integrators.
