Accuro (Care Services) is delighted to announce that they have been awarded a grant of £15,000 from the Openwork Foundation, delighting the disability charity.

Accuro, a charity supporting local children, young people and adults with disabilities in West Essex, has been granted funding from the Openwork Foundation to help deliver social and activity projects for a year. The grant will cover staff, transport and activity costs.

Operations and Development Manager at Accuro, Amy Connelly, said: “We are thrilled to have received this generous fund from the Openwork Foundation. Grants such as this enable us to continue to offer quality services in and around the community and much-needed respite time for families and carers.”

Accuro’s services for local people with a disability include youth clubs for children and young people aged 11+, Friendships Schemes for adults aged 19+, a Saturday Play Club for children aged 8+, and a Holiday Scheme that runs through the school summer holidays.

Established in 1981, the Openwork Foundation has donated more than £21.5m over the years, supporting vulnerable children and adults in the UK and overseas. The charity delivers grant, fundraising and volunteer programmes to support local communities.
