Agilence has recently unveiled five additional analytics modules that aim to combat inventory losses and improve safety measures.

Agilence, a leading provider of data analytics and loss prevention solutions for the retail, supermarket, restaurant, and hospitality industries, has announced the launch of five new modules for its Agilence Analytics platform. These modules, the RFID Module, Expiring Inventory Module, Physical Inventory Module, Alarm Module, and Cash Over/Short Module, are purpose-built add-ons that enhance the Agilence Analytics Platform with prebuilt dashboards, reports, and metrics.

According to Russ Hawkins, CEO of Agilence, inventory distortion cost retailers $1.7 trillion dollars in 2024. With the launch of these new modules, Agilence aims to address this issue by providing data from RFID sensors, inventory expiration dates, and verified stock to improve inventory management and reduce losses. This, in turn, can also improve customer satisfaction by ensuring that items are in stock for purchase.

In addition to improving inventory management, the new modules also focus on enhancing security and operational insights. The Alarm module, for example, centralizes data from alarm providers and integrates it with other systems, allowing users to track alarm activity trends, unauthorized access, and emergency responses. The Cash Over/Short Module, on the other hand, simplifies variance tracking and helps to mitigate cash handling risks by identifying discrepancies and high-risk transactions.

These new modules join the existing set of Agilence Analytics Modules, which include the eCommerce, Direct Store Delivery (DSD), and Scale Production Modules released in 2023. According to Brian Brinkmann, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Agilence, these modules further fuel the company’s AI-powered loss prevention and compliance platform to reduce loss, control shrink, and combat internal and external theft while also safeguarding employees and customers.
