Bridge India and LID Publishing have jointly revealed the establishment of a new book publishing imprint.

LID Publishing and Bridge India have announced their partnership in launching a new book imprint that will focus on publishing books about India. The imprint, which is set to release its first books in Spring 2025, is already on the lookout for potential authors and projects.

With India’s growing presence and influence in the global economy and society, the imprint aims to provide a valuable source of knowledge and information about modern-day India. It plans to publish a diverse range of non-fiction books covering various topics such as business, society, history, culture, and lifestyle, reflecting the complexity and diversity of the country.

Bridge India, a progressive non-profit think tank based in London, is dedicated to promoting discourse on public policy and helping readers understand India better. Its founder, Pratik Dattani, shares his excitement about the partnership, stating, “India’s rising stature as a global economic and cultural power provides fertile ground for stories that are worth telling. We’re delighted to be partnering with LID Publishing to help bring this nuance and complexity to a global audience.”

LID Publishing, an award-winning international publishing company based in London, specializes in non-fiction publications. It has established partnerships with institutions such as the London School of Economics and Duke University. The company’s COO and Publisher, Martin Liu, expresses his enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Through this exciting partnership with Bridge India, we hope to bring to the international stage exciting and valuable books about India and the authors behind them. By combining Bridge India’s extensive knowledge and network with LID’s publishing services and experience, I believe we have an excellent foundation to develop books and authors that can play a significant role in helping the world to understand India better.”

An editorial board has been formed for the imprint to develop the overall editorial strategy and discuss and agree on book projects to be undertaken. The board consists of Pratik Dattani, Martin Liu, and Sangeeta Waldron as initial members.
