Scottish Amputee Charity Encourages Businesses to Give Back This Christmas
As the holiday season approaches, Scottish charity Finding Your Feet is calling on workplaces to join their ‘Nice List’ and give back to those in need. Every day in Scotland, individuals lose limbs due to illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, and sepsis. The aftermath of amputation can be devastating, leaving individuals feeling isolated, lacking confidence, and struggling to adjust to a new way of life.
Founded in 2014, Finding Your Feet provides crucial support to individuals living with amputation or limb absence. Through services such as counselling, fitness sessions, and social clubs, the charity aims to help these individuals rebuild their confidence and establish a sense of community.
This Christmas, Finding Your Feet is asking businesses to get involved in their ‘Nice List’ campaign. The campaign offers 12 fun and easy ways for offices to raise funds while spreading holiday cheer. Activities such as jumper days, bake-offs, and desk-decorating competitions not only bring joy and laughter but also help raise funds to support the charity’s life-changing work across Scotland.
Zoey, Fundraising Manager at Finding Your Feet, explains the significance of this campaign for businesses:
“We know offices love a good jumper day or quiz, and we don’t want to stop that – we just want to make it count. The FYF Nice List gives workplaces everything they need to turn festive fun into real impact. One team day could fund a counselling session or help an amputee take their first swim lesson.”
Businesses can access The FYF Nice List on the charity’s website, along with fundraising posters, templates, and toolkits. They can also support the charity through EasyFundraising, Alternative Gifting, or by nominating Finding Your Feet as their Charity of the Year for 2026.
Before the Christmas shopping frenzy begins, Finding Your Feet is urging businesses to join their Nice List and make a difference in someone’s life.
“Get on the Nice List and help someone find their feet again,” says Zoey.
Finding Your Feet relies on donations to continue providing vital emotional and physical support to amputees and their families across Scotland. To support their work, please visit www.findingyourfeet.net/donate-now.
