“Desperate race against time for UK baby Aiyla’s life: £600,000 required to fund potential cure, Zolgensma, for SMA type 1.”

London Family in Desperate Need of Funds to Save Baby Aiyla from Deadly Genetic Disease

London, UK – Aiyla, a 9-month-old baby living in London, is facing a dire situation. She has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 1, one of the most aggressive and deadly genetic diseases in children. This disease gradually weakens muscles, taking away the ability to move, swallow, and eventually breathe.

Aiyla’s doctors have delivered a heartbreaking truth to her parents: without treatment, she will not survive. The disease is progressing rapidly, and time is running out.

The only hope for baby Aiyla is Zolgensma gene therapy, a treatment that can halt the progression of SMA and give her a chance at a normal life. However, the cost of this treatment is an unaffordable £600,000.

Aiyla’s parents have sold all their possessions, taken out loans, and depleted their savings, but they still cannot afford the treatment. In a desperate attempt to save their daughter, their close friend Sharif has started a fundraising campaign on the Crowdfunder platform titled, “Save Baby Aiyla – A Mother’s Last Hope to Keep Her.”

Sharif has witnessed the extreme despair of Aiyla’s family and believes that it is unacceptable for a child to lose their life due to a lack of funds. He is appealing to the compassion and generosity of the people of the UK and worldwide to help save baby Aiyla.

The fundraising target is £600,000, which will cover the cost of Zolgensma treatment and specialized care in clinics outside the UK. Sharif has outlined a simple calculation: if 60,000 people donate £10 or 6,000 people donate £100, Aiyla’s life can be saved.

Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in giving Aiyla a chance at life. The funds raised will be used transparently to support her treatment, including the cost of Zolgensma gene therapy, hospital and specialized care, travel expenses, and ongoing support.

For those who are unable to donate, Aiyla’s family is asking for support by sharing the campaign using the hashtag #SaveBabyAiyla. The campaign is verified on Crowdfunder UK, and all donations will go towards saving Aiyla’s life.
