for charity The Chilterns Neuro Centre’s Pop-Up Art Weekend successfully raises more than £21,000 for charity.

The Chilterns Neuro Centre has announced the remarkable success of its annual Pop-Up Art Weekend, held in Wendover this past weekend. Now in its 20th year, the event brought together over 80 talented exhibitors, welcomed more than 1,000 visitors, and raised a staggering £21,530 in support of the Centre’s vital work with individuals affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes.

Since its inception in 2005, the Pop-Up Art Weekend has raised an impressive total of over £212,000 for the Wendover-based charity.

In partnership with the Clare Foundation, the exhibition showcased a diverse and stunning range of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and photography, creating an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere. The event has also gained recognition for its delicious homemade cakes, which were a hit with visitors and added a touch of warmth and community spirit to the event.

The weekend commenced with a special preview evening on Friday, attended by several high-profile figures, including The Countess Howe, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, and Cllr Alan Sherwell, Mayor of Aylesbury.

Hannah Prentice, Community and Events Manager at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, expressed her excitement over the success of the event, saying, “It was truly a fantastic weekend that just gets better every year. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who took part, from the talented artists and dedicated volunteers to the visitors who came to support us. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event such a success.”

The Pop-Up Art Weekend not only celebrated creativity but also highlighted the power of community, bringing people together for a meaningful cause. The funds raised will enable the Centre to continue providing physical, practical, and emotional support to its members, empowering them to live life to the fullest.
