FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES IONITY, a leading provider of electric vehicle charging solutions, has recently announced lowered prices and personalized tariffs in their efforts to provide faster, more affordable charging options for customers.

IONITY Makes High Power Charging (HPC) More Affordable and Flexible for European Drivers

Munich, Germany – IONITY, the leading pan-European High Power Charging (HPC) network for electric vehicles (EVs), has announced new country-specific tariffs to make ultra-fast charging more accessible and affordable for drivers across Europe.

Starting May 28, IONITY will be lowering its IONITY DIRECT charging prices in 12 European countries. In addition, the company is introducing two new tariff plans, IONITY PASSPORT MOTION and IONITY PASSPORT POWER, which offer flexible terms tailored to the varying mileage needs of its customers.

With these new tariffs, IONITY is making HPC with up to 350 kW available from just 0,26 EUR per kilowatt hour (kWh). This competitive pricing, combined with the company’s growing network of 630 charging parks and 24/7 multilingual customer hotline, is accelerating sustainable mobility across Europe.

The IONITY PASSPORT MOTION plan is ideal for drivers who travel around 150 km per month and offers a monthly basic fee that pays off with just one charging session at IONITY. On the other hand, the IONITY PASSPORT POWER plan is suitable for those who drive more than 300 km per month or frequently recharge their EV’s batteries at IONITY. This plan is perfect for long-distance business trips or regular journeys.

Both plans offer flexible terms and allow customers to switch between plans based on their needs, such as during the holiday season. Customers can easily subscribe to these plans through the IONITY app and terminate their subscription with just one month’s notice. For a limited time, customers who sign up for either plan will receive a discounted basic fee for the first month.

The actual price per kWh will vary depending on the country where the EV is charged, and all prices are transparently and accurately listed on the IONITY website and app.

IONITY is committed to sustainability and sources 100% certified green electricity for its charging network. The company’s HPC charging capacity of up to 350 kW allows for ultra-fast charging, providing up to 100 km of range in just four minutes, depending on the EV’s charging power.

Founded in 2017, IONITY is a joint venture of leading car manufacturers BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Group, Mercedes Benz AG, and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche, along with financial investor BlackRock’s Climate Infrastructure Platform. The company is headquartered in Munich, Germany, with additional offices in Dortmund and outside Norway’s capital, Oslo.
