Sporting Club Expands with First Scottish Branch in Edinburgh
The Sporting Club, a renowned business network for sports lovers, is pleased to announce the opening of its first Scottish branch in Edinburgh this July. The expansion comes as part of the club’s mission to create a trusted network for professionals in the sports industry.
Founded by award-winning sports journalist, author, and broadcaster Ian Stafford, The Sporting Club has become known for its curated events, exclusive venues, and personal introductions that lead to real-world results. Its events have featured renowned figures such as Gary Player, Sugar Ray Leonard, Usain Bolt, and many more, offering members first-hand insights and stories from some of the most respected names in sport.
The pre-launch events for the Edinburgh branch will feature a talk from Ian Stafford himself, providing attendees with an insight into the club’s vision and membership benefits. Guests will also have the opportunity to connect with senior professionals and decision-makers across the sports industry, as well as other business sectors.
“Our mission has always been to create a trusted network for people in sport,” said Ian Stafford. “We know that genuine connections and purpose-driven spaces make all the difference, and we’re thrilled to bring that vision to Scotland.”
Membership benefits for The Sporting Club Scotland include access to fifteen exclusive venues across the UK, invitations to private dinners, talks, and events with sporting legends, opportunities to host your own events, and member-only discounts on hospitality, sportswear, clothing, and luxury gifts. Members also receive a 20% referral commission for introducing other members.
To give professionals a taste of what The Sporting Club Scotland has to offer, a series of pre-launch taster events will take place on 16th, 23rd, and 24th June 2025 at the new venue on 16 St Mary’s Street. Attendees can choose from morning, lunchtime, or evening sessions, each offering complimentary breakfast or buffet and the chance to explore the club’s facilities.
With limited availability, professionals are encouraged to register quickly to secure a spot at one of the sessions and get a rare preview of the Edinburgh club before its official opening this July. Registration for the events can be done at https://thesportingclub.scot/.
For media professionals interested in attending the pre-launch events, The Sporting Club Scotland extends a warm invitation.
