The Chilterns Neuro Centre, a leading organization dedicated to providing support and services for people affected by neurological conditions, is pleased to announce the success of its recent Charity Golf Day. Held at the prestigious Stocks Golf Club in Aldbury on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the event was made possible with the support of headline sponsor, EIC Insurance.
Despite facing challenging weather conditions in the days leading up to the event, over 80 golfers showed up to participate in a day filled with friendly competition and camaraderie, all for a good cause. The event raised an impressive total of over £14,000, which will be used to support people affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes through the Centre’s vital services such as physiotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, counselling, and leisure groups.
The day kicked off with participants taking to the course under bright skies, followed by a delicious barbecue, a prize-giving ceremony, raffle, and silent auction. The highlight of the day was the individual and team competitions, which saw some outstanding performances by the golfers. Adam Troughton claimed the title of Individual Winner, while the team 2 Gunners 2 Cannons, comprised of Aaron Colby, Carl Austen, Russell Aldridge, and James Lawton, emerged victorious in the team competition.
Hannah Prentice, Community Fundraising Manager at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, expressed her gratitude to everyone who came out to support the event. She said, “The generosity of our golfers and sponsors means we can continue to make a real difference in the lives of people in our community who are facing daily challenges from neurological conditions.”
EIC Insurance, the headline sponsor of the event, played a crucial role in its success by not only providing financial support but also participating in the day’s activities.
“We are proud to support the Chilterns Neuro Centre and the incredible work they do,” said Charlie Hicks, Managing Director at EIC Insurance. “The Golf Day was a fantastic event – full of energy, goodwill, and community spirit. And raising over £14,000 is a phenomenal achievement.”
The Chilterns Neuro Centre extends its heartfelt thanks to all the players, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made the day possible. Their support and generosity will go a long way in helping the Centre continue its important work in the community.
