A new documentary, titled *The King of UFOs*, has been released exploring the British Royal Family’s fascination with UFOs, crop circles, and paranormal phenomena. Directed and written by ufologist and author Mark Christopher Lee, the film uncovers intriguing claims from a palace insider about Queen Elizabeth II’s alleged involvement in the famous Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident of 1980.
The incident, often referred to as “The British Roswell,” took place at the RAF Bentwaters airbase in Suffolk and involved a reported UFO landing and interaction with US military personnel. According to the insider, Queen Elizabeth II was briefed on the event by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in 1983, who allegedly stated that the truth was too extraordinary to be revealed to the public.
Lee, who has also spoken with the late ufologist and author Georgina Bruni, shares that this information aligns with what Bruni learned from Thatcher during an informal conversation. Thatcher reportedly told Bruni, “You can’t tell the people!” leading Bruni to believe that the events at Rendlesham were so bizarre and frightening that the official story would never be disclosed. Bruni even speculated that the entity that interacted with US servicemen could have been from either the future or another dimension. The question remains: did Thatcher also share this information with the Queen?
The documentary also features an interview with retired CID police officer John Hanson, who became a UFO researcher after a colleague encountered a UFO firsthand. Hanson went on to investigate the Rendlesham Forest incident and co-authored two books about it with Colonel Charles Halt, the Deputy Commander of the base at the time. Hanson even sent these books to the Queen and Prince Philip, who responded by saying they were adding them to their personal UFO collection. Hanson remained in correspondence with the royal family until the Queen’s passing and was convinced that both she and Prince Philip had a deep and genuine interest in UFOs.
Lee discusses the significance of the Rendlesham UFO incident, stating, “The Rendlesham UFO story is, without a doubt, the British Roswell. However, I doubt we’ll ever see full disclosure from either the UK or US governments, because the truth is far stranger than a simple spacecraft from another planet crashing in the forest. The reality is that it’s simply too bizarre for the public to accept.”
The documentary also delves into recent developments in the search for extraterrestrial life, with Lee speaking to Professor Simon Holland, a NASA advisor and former BBC Science Editor. Holland claims to have evidence that Meta and Mark Zuckerberg’s Breakthrough Listen project has detected an intelligent signal coming from Proxima Centauri. However, Zuckerberg has refused to release this information, fearing the potential impact it could have on society.
