This incredible family of fiber testers is specifically designed for the installation and maintenance of optical networks, including GPON and XGS-PON.
The ARGUS® F-Series will be showcased at ANGA COM in Cologne, the premier business platform for broadband and content providers in Europe. The event will take place from May 14-16, 2024.
The ARGUS® F-Series includes the ARGUS® F200, ARGUS® F240 and ARGUS® F300, all of which provide the top-quality testing that intec is known for. The ARGUS® F200 basic tester features a selective 5-fold power meter that can be switched into an existing PON connection in through mode. This allows for precise measurement of optical levels on different wavelengths for GPON, XGS-PON, and video overlay. It can also detect other transmitters, such as alien ONTs, and read out the PON ID from the PLOAM message. Additionally, the PLOAM monitor scans all ONU IDs and serial numbers of ONTs connected to a PON branch.
The ARGUS® F300 and ARGUS® F240 fiber testers offer even more advanced features, such as a complete ONT simulation with IP and performance tests up to 10 Gbit/s on GPON and XGS-PON. They also have the ability to perform WLAN analysis, triple play tests, and data tests directly on the fiber or Ethernet. The ARGUS® F300 is the only device in the world that combines an OTDR and selective OPM, allowing for the determination and display of PON ID and XGS-PON ID.
The ARGUS® F-Series also includes an SFP slot for the deployment of Active Ethernet (AON), as well as a Fiber Inspection Tool that can detect scratches and defects on optical fibers.
