Jessica Turner Promoted to Associate Solicitor at Chester-based Manleys Solicitors

Manleys Solicitors, a boutique firm specializing in commercial litigation and reputation management and located in Chester, has announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the role of Associate Solicitor.

Jessica joined Manleys over seven years ago, bringing with her experience from a well-known full-service firm in the North-West. Her passion for becoming a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer led her to join Manleys in 2016. Initially starting as a Paralegal and Personal Assistant to Mr. Manley, Jessica provided support in various aspects of the firm’s operations, including finance and assisting solicitors on cases. While working full time, she pursued her legal education, completing a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Jessica’s hard work paid off, and she was awarded a training contract in 2017, ultimately qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Even now, with 3 ½ years of experience, Jessica continues to excel in her work.

Since becoming qualified, Jessica has played a crucial role in protecting her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and private and confidential information. Her expertise allows her to provide daily advice on a wide range of legal matters, including reputation management, commercial litigation, intellectual property, defamation, privacy, breach of confidence, harassment, data protection, advertising law, and shareholder disputes.

Throughout her career, Jessica has worked with high-profile clients and been involved in notable cases. One such case resulted in a landmark victory for her client in a privacy matter (Pryor v Liverpool Womens’ NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). Media Blog, Inforrm, picked up on this success. Additionally, earlier this year, Jessica achieved a significant outcome against a major social media platform, securing an out-of-court settlement in a case involving alleged breaches of defamation and data protection laws. These accomplishments, along with the positive testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website (www.manleys.law), are a testament to her outstanding performance and dedication to her clients.

Mark Manley, Managing Director of the Legal 500 firm, expressed his satisfaction with Jessica’s progress, stating, “Witnessing Jess’s journey from an administrative position to paralegal, trainee, and now one of our most accomplished solicitors has been truly rewarding. She is a highly dedicated and hard-working solicitor who has sharpened her legal knowledge, consistently surpasses all set targets, and is unquestionably a rising star. I had no hesitation in promoting her, and I have no doubt that she will continue to push herself further while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is a credit to the firm.”

Regarding her recent promotion, Jessica remarked, “I have enjoyed many fulfilling years at Manleys and have a genuine passion for the work I do. Delivering positive outcomes for my clients has always been my primary objective, and I look forward to continuing to do so in my new role with the firm.”
