Austrian Post Launches Second Edition of Crypto Stamp Art in Collaboration with Hackatao
Vienna, June 3, 2025 – Austrian Post is excited to announce the launch of a new limited edition of Crypto stamp art (CSA) in collaboration with renowned artist duo Hackatao. This highly anticipated second edition will be available for purchase on June 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. and will also be featured at the Austrian Post stand at NFC Lisbon, one of the world’s leading Web3 events.
This new edition of Crypto stamp art pays tribute to two exceptional personalities from Austrian history: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Hedy Lamarr. Both individuals were known for their ingenuity, creativity, and willingness to break with convention. Hackatao has captured their complexity in four distinct motifs:
MOZART, THE MAESTRO – The visionary musician
AMADEUS, THE PRANKSTER – The mischievous spirit behind the genius
LAMARR, THE STAR – The glamorous screen icon
HEDY, THE MIND – The brilliant inventor of modern communication
Hackatao, pioneers of crypto art, have combined social themes with a vibrant, surreal visual language in this second edition of Crypto stamp art. In collaboration with Austrian Post, physical stamps and digital NFTs (non-fungible tokens) have been merged to create a unique collector’s experience. These “Soulbound Tokens” are inseparable from the physical stamp and their authenticity is guaranteed by modern NFC technology and blockchain, making this a groundbreaking example of the future of collecting where art, technology, and history converge.
The second edition of Crypto stamp art is priced at EUR 21.80 per stamp with a total issue of 10,000 stamps (2,500 per motif). It will be available for purchase at select post offices, through the collector’s service (phone: +43 577 67 – 95095; email: sammler-service@post.at), and at the Web3 Event NFC in Lisbon.
