Hamburg-based NGO Launches Campaign Against Germany’s Largest Right-Wing Extremist Online Shop
Hamburg, August 18, 2025 – In a move to combat the growing presence of right-wing extremism in Germany, the non-governmental organization “Laut gegen Nazis” has launched a new campaign targeting the country’s largest neo-Nazi merchandise shop, “Druck18.” The initiative is part of the award-winning “Rights Against the Right” campaign, in partnership with the advertising agency Jung von Matt.
According to the founder of Laut gegen Nazis e.V., Jörn Menge, the organization has already seen success in targeting the wallets of Nazis through trademark registrations of individual codes. With the trademark registration of “Druck18,” the NGO is taking it one step further. “To keep the rights to druck18 and all our secured codes, we need to sell merch bearing them. That’s what we do now under: www.druck18.com,” Menge explains.
The online shop “Druck18” is operated by notorious neo-Nazi Tommy Frenck, who is considered a central figure in the right-wing extremist scene in Germany. The shop offers hundreds of items with racist, anti-Semitic, and historical revisionist content.
As part of the Rights Against the Right campaign, the association has trademarked the name of the online shop with the aim of preventing the commercial use of the name by the far-right scene. The operator is no longer allowed to continue running the shop under this name, and further use will result in legal consequences, including injunctions and claims for damages.
The move has been welcomed by Philip Schlaffer, a former neo-Nazi who operated a right-wing extremist online shop. Schlaffer, who knows the scene from the inside, believes that targeting merchandise is an effective way to cripple the movement. “Most of the scene is financed through merchandise, and Druck18 is the flagship. Anyone who interferes with that not only deprives the movement of money, but also of reach and ways of identification. This initiative really hits the mark,” he says.
