Sue Davis Ehoff, the award-winning stylist and educator behind Sue Davis Hair & Beauty, has launched a specialist Hair Loss Clinic in Leicester, marking a significant expansion of her well-known salons. The clinic is dedicated to helping women experiencing thinning hair or complete hair loss through bespoke treatments and solutions.
Evolving from Sue’s decades of expertise crafting wigs for female cancer patients, the clinic offers a progressive, client-led approach. Alongside personalised wig services and styling, clients will benefit from Intellihalo and Intellimesh integration systems and advanced hair extension techniques, providing flexible solutions for women undergoing medical treatments, living with long-term conditions, or supporting healthy regrowth.
“For years, I’ve created wigs for women facing cancer treatment. This clinic is the natural next step; a way to bring together innovative solutions for every kind of hair loss,” said Sue Davis Ehoff. “We want women to feel supported at every stage, whether they’re managing stress-related thinning, hormonal changes, or medical conditions.”
Hair loss is now a major concern for millions of women in the UK. Approximately 8 million women are affected, according to the
Institute of Trichologists. Nation-wide, female pattern hair loss impacts about 40% of women over 50 and half of women over 70, with low iron levels amongst the most common underlying causes of hair loss.
From post-Covid health battles to perimenopause and high stress levels, more consumers are turning to professionals for advice and solutions. Social media conversations around thinning hair and scalp health are booming, creating an opportunity for salons to step up with expertise, empathy, and cutting-edge services.
Hairdressing has been Sue’s passion since she was 14. After rising quickly through the ranks to become a salon manager at 19, she moved into the corporate world of haircare, working across the UK and Europe before opening her first salon. She has since grown to three locations, become a Brand Ambassador for L’Oréal’s Pureology line, trained hundreds of stylists, and won multiple SalonSpy Customer Service Awards.
Her salons are already recognised for their support of clients undergoing cancer treatment, menopause, illness, grief and stress, as well as for fundraising for local causes like LOROS Hospice. The new clinic cements her mission to provide specialist, confidence-restoring solutions for women at every stage of life.
“Hairdressing gave me everything – a career, independence, the chance to travel the world,” added Sue. “This clinic is about giving something back: dignity, confidence and a sense of control to women when they need it most.”
