Lighthouse Advisory Partners is proud to announce its role as the exclusive buy-side M&A advisor in Causeway Technologies’ recent acquisition of Buchanan Computing, a leading provider of permanent traffic engineering and highways management solutions. The deal, which was finalized on Wednesday 30 October, 2024, marks a significant step forward for Causeway’s vision of digitalizing the construction, maintenance, and traffic management processes in the UK.
Based in Cambridge, United Kingdom, Lighthouse Advisory Partners has been instrumental in facilitating this strategic acquisition, which will see Buchanan Computing’s flagship product, ParkMap, incorporated into Causeway’s one.network platform. This will create the UK’s first unified platform for Digital Traffic Regulation Orders (D-TROs), which will revolutionize the way local authorities manage and communicate the management and maintenance of their infrastructure assets.
In addition to ParkMap, the acquisition will also bring Buchanan’s industry-leading products SignPlot and SignLoad into Causeway’s suite of solutions. SignLoad, which is used for designing sign structures, will integrate with Causeway’s Professional Design Suite (PDS) to create a single solution that will significantly improve infrastructure design productivity for local authorities, consultants, and sign manufacturers. This integration will help minimize costs while ensuring that traffic sign and sign structure designs are accurate and compliant.
This is the fifth strategic acquisition for Causeway since Five Arrows made a significant investment in 2021, demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering a fully integrated, end-to-end solution for Highways Authorities and Contractors.
