Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre in Locks Heath has announced a new Saturday opening, as confirmed by the facility.

Age Concern Hampshire is proud to announce the launch of a new monthly Saturday Club at its Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre in Locks Heath. The club will begin in September and will be open to both current and new clients.

Taking place on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30am to 3:30pm, this new initiative aims to provide greater flexibility and much-needed support to older people, their families, and carers in the community.

The Care and Wellbeing Centres run by Age Concern Hampshire offer a nurturing day care experience in a safe and secure, dementia-friendly environment. Clients can participate in a variety of engaging activities, enjoy optional hot lunches, and utilize the center’s transport services. This also provides much-needed respite time for carers.

Hannah Park, Head of Operations at Age Concern Hampshire, expressed her excitement about the new Saturday provision, stating, “We are proud to be launching this new service at Lockwood. It reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the changing needs of our community with flexible and high-quality care.”
