London to Host First-Ever City-Wide Celebration of the Experience Economy
London, UK – The city of London is about to become the center stage for the booming Experience Economy with the upcoming London Experience Week (LXW). This groundbreaking event, produced by the World Experience Organization (WXO) and supported by London & Partners, will take place from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
The Experience Economy, which encompasses immersive entertainment, experiential marketing, live events, retail, and hospitality, is expected to add £134 billion to the UK economy, surpassing the £62 billion contribution of the fashion industry. With LXW, London is set to become the first capital to showcase the potential and growth of the Experience Economy.
According to James Wallman, Founder of WXO, “People don’t want things, they want experiences. The brands that win are those that make people feel something. London Experience Week is where those brands will be made.”
Simon McCaugherty, Director of Destination at London & Partners, also expressed excitement for the event, stating, “London & Partners is excited to support the first ever London Experience Week, showcasing the capital as the true home of immersive experiences. London is a welcoming test bed for experience creators, operators, and brands thanks to the international talent working here, a wide array of incredible venues, cutting edge technology start-ups, and lower start-up and operating costs than many other major global cities.”
LXW will bring together the most innovative and visionary creators in the industry, including names like Paddington, Battersea Power Station, AREA15, Moment Factory, Monopoly Lifesized, Elvis Evolution, and Phantom Peak, with many more to be announced. The event promises to be a transformational experience for the industry, with behind-the-scenes access to the most daring and cutting-edge experiences, a ‘United Nations’ of experience creators from around the world, and the World Experience Summit, featuring industry-defining conversations and an unconference.
The event is a call to arms for the brave and the brilliant in the experience industry. Brands, creators, and visionaries are invited to be a part of this historic shift in consumer culture and join the movement to redefine how we play, learn, and connect.
