Longi Brings Most Powerful Residential Solar Module Series, EcoLife, to Homeowners
Frankfurt am Main – Longi, one of the world’s top solar manufacturers, has announced the launch of its highly efficient residential solar module series, EcoLife, for the homeowner market. The series boasts a 510-watt version, with a surface area of just over two square meters, resulting in a power density of approximately 250 watts per square meter – significantly higher than the average wattage per square meter of solar modules currently on the market, which is approximately 220. According to recent rankings, this makes the EcoLife module the most efficient residential solar module worldwide, with an efficiency exceeding 25 percent, well above the 21-24 percent range of standard modules.
The key to the series’ exceptional performance lies in its technology. All EcoLife modules utilize Back Contact (BC) architecture, which moves all electrical contacts to the rear of the cell. This eliminates front-side shading and allows the panel to capture more sunlight, even in low-light or partially shaded conditions. Additionally, a built-in shading optimizer ensures high output, even when parts of the panel are obstructed by leaves, branches, or other obstacles – a feat that is typically unachievable with conventional modules.
EcoLife modules are also designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, with the ability to handle up to four meters of snow and endure hurricane-level winds. The 510-watt version also comes with a Class A fire rating, providing homeowners with peace of mind. Furthermore, Longi backs the reliability of the series with a 30-year warranty.
In addition to its high performance and durability, the EcoLife series also offers a sleek and discreet aesthetic. The all-black panels seamlessly integrate into the roofscape, making them a favorite among homeowners who value aesthetics.
