Last week witnessed the commemoration of Manleys Solicitors’ 10-year anniversary, albeit a year later than anticipated!
Manleys Solicitors, a distinguished boutique litigation firm situated in Chester, was established by acclaimed media lawyer Mark Manley in 2012. Mark, formerly a partner at Brabners in Liverpool and possessing extensive experience in various litigation matters, embarked on this new venture as a personal challenge.
On the 1st of May 2012, Manleys officially inaugurated its operations, operating from its previous premises on St John Street in Chester. The firm marked this milestone by hosting a grand launch party at the Hilton Double Tree, attended by esteemed clients such as renowned comedians Ricky Tomlinson, Stan Boardman, and former footballer-turned-Sky TV pundit Jamie Carragher.
Over the course of the past decade, Manleys has flourished, amassing a client base that resembles a “Who’s Who” list. The firm has garnered recognition in both national and local media, as well as the customary legal directories. Notably, Manleys was shortlisted for the prestigious Lawyer Awards UK Boutique Law Firm of the Year. In 2017, having outgrown its previous premises, the firm acquired a substantial commercial property spanning three floors in the esteemed Grosvenor Court. They relocated to the new premises just before Christmas that year.
In the preceding year, the firm encountered yet another exceptionally busy period, representing clients in various prominent courts worldwide, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland, the High Court of England and Wales, and the United States District Court in New York. However, the demands of this eventful year led to the oversight of the 10-year milestone without celebration. Consequently, Rebekah Booth, the firm’s Chief Operations Officer, conceived the idea of a surprise 10+1 dinner to finally commemorate the resounding success achieved over the past 11 years.
Reflecting on a prosperous decade, Mark expressed his thoughts:

Additionally, we are honoured to represent several PLCs and significant corporate entities.”
