Eutecma GmbH Expands Presence in North America with New Partnership in Wisconsin
Mannheim/Germany, August 2024 – Eutecma GmbH, a leading global operator in the packaging sector, is pleased to announce its expansion into North America with a new partnership in Wisconsin. The German-based company, known for its environmentally friendly EPS shipping boxes, has already established a presence in the continent with a refreshment center in Springfield, Ohio last year.
The new partnership, located in the Badger State near the Canadian border, will manufacture EPS shipping boxes to eutecma standards. These boxes, ranging from 4 to 1588 liters, are designed for three different temperature ranges and are primarily used by customers in the pharmaceutical industry to ship temperature-sensitive products.
In line with eutecma’s commitment to sustainability, the company’s shipping boxes are assembled from modular components and are meant to be re-used multiple times. After use, the recipients return the boxes, which are equipped with RFID chips (Radio Frequency Identification), to a refreshment center. There, a fully automatic system measures and weighs the boxes, ensuring they meet all relevant specifications. This circular economy model aims to minimize waste and emissions, with the cloud-based retecma system providing customers with information on the number of times the boxes and cooling elements have been used and the amount of CO2 saved.
Esther Lorenz-Bottke, spokesperson for eutecma GmbH, says, “We are excited to expand our presence in North America and partner with a US company that shares our commitment to sustainability. Our EPS shipping boxes are not only environmentally friendly, but also provide temperature-sensitive products with the necessary protection during transit.”
To showcase these innovative cold chain systems, eutecma GmbH invites attendees to visit their booth at LogiPharma, the world’s premier event for global pharmaceutical supply chains and logistics, in Boston from September 23 to 25.
