Micom Receives Great Place To Work Certification in 2025
Coventry, UK – Micom, a leading digital communications company, is proud to announce that it has been officially Certified™ by Great Place To Work® in 2025. This prestigious certification recognizes Micom’s ongoing commitment to building a culture rooted in trust, listening, and meaningful action. A staggering 97% of Micom employees consider the company a great place to work, a 7-point increase from 2024 and significantly higher than the UK average.
For Micom, this achievement goes beyond just a number. It is a reflection of the company’s efforts to act on employee feedback, enhance leadership behaviors, and create a stronger workplace for the future.
In a statement, Andy Barber, CEO of Micom, expressed his pride in the company’s achievement, saying, “This recognition means a lot to us because it came directly from the people who shape our business every day. What makes me even prouder is not just the score, but the journey we took to get here. Our team spoke up, and we acted swiftly to make improvements. This is the type of culture we strive to protect and grow.”
The journey to this certification began with one of Micom’s own employees. As part of her leadership degree, Operations Manager Kasia conducted research on how internal communication and feedback could be enhanced. Her findings prompted the leadership team to launch its first Great Place To Work survey in 2024, which led to immediate action.
Over the past 12 months, Micom has implemented a range of initiatives centered around its employees, including a new salary sacrifice scheme offering over 28 employee benefits, introducing more meaningful moments through Tea Tuesdays, Diversity Days, and refreshed Townhalls, and forming a Giving Committee that supports local and global causes such as Baby Godiva, Coventry Haven, and a school in Zanzibar.
These changes have resulted in significant year-on-year improvements in the employee experience, including a 34-point increase in the statement, “We have special and unique benefits,” a 19-point jump in “My work has special meaning,” and a 14-point increase in “Management trusts people to do a good job.”
Micom’s certification is part of a wider company shift towards a digital-first, hybrid communication platform, as the business continues to grow. However, maintaining a strong and human-centered culture remains a top priority for the company.
According to Barber, “Growth means nothing if your culture doesn’t keep up. This certification is not the finish line, but rather proof that when we listen deeply and act boldly, we can create a workplace that truly works for everyone.”
