Bron-Yr-Aur, Wales – A unique opportunity is now available for music and nature enthusiasts alike. The legendary off-grid cottage, Bron-Yr-Aur, where Led Zeppelin once found inspiration, is now open for visitors through a newly launched crowdfunded initiative. This project aims to not only offer an unforgettable experience but also to support the growth of a global creative micronation.
Bron-Yr-Aur is inviting supporters to participate in a prize draw for a chance to win a Golden Ticket to the cottage. Three lucky winners will be invited to a VIP two-day retreat at Bron-Yr-Aur and the nearby Plas Dolguog Manor House. This retreat will offer guests a chance to stay in the historic and elegantly furnished rooms of the Manor, while also experiencing the wild and secluded surroundings of Bron-Yr-Aur. The retreat will include guided forest walks, acoustic music sessions, journaling, and creative reflection, all while enjoying delicious seasonal dishes prepared by local chefs.
One of the highlights of the retreat is the opportunity to become an honorary citizen of the Bron-Yr-Aur Micronation. Winners will receive a digital ID, certificate, and passport stamped at the Bron-Yr-Aur Embassy in the nearby town of Machynlleth. The retreat is designed for an intimate gathering of just six guests, offering a unique blend of simplicity and ceremony, rooted in nature and history.
In addition to the Golden Ticket to the retreat, the prize draw also includes exclusive artworks, handcrafted items, access to the Bron-Yr-Aur Cam, invitations to special broadcasts, and companion citizenships. The draw will open on September 30, 2025, and close on December 17, 2025, at 23:59 BST. The winners will be announced on December 24, 2025.
Bron-Yr-Aur is more than just a retreat; it is the birthplace of a citizen-led creative nation founded on the values of creativity, sustainability, and wellbeing. This initiative aims to support free scholarships and creative access, global events, a citizen-powered platform for art, music, writing, and wellbeing, and a worldwide community rooted in imagination and connection.
Chief Visionary ‘Boohai’ says, “Bron-Yr-Aur has always been a place of inspiration. This is not just a retreat; it is the beginning of a shared story – a new way of belonging.”
