Parkopedia, AWT Bavaria Ukraine, and BMW AG have collaborated to enhance the electric vehicle charging process in Ukraine.

London, UK / Kyiv, Ukraine – On Thursday 6 February, 2025, a new partnership was announced between Parkopedia and AWT Bavaria Ukraine, in collaboration with BMW AG. This partnership aims to improve the driving and charging experience for BMW electric vehicle (EV) drivers in Ukraine.

As part of this partnership, 4,272 Ukrainian charge points have been integrated into selected BMW models and the MyBMW app. This will make it easier for drivers to locate charging stations and access important charging information on their desired routes.

The addition of accurate and comprehensive charge point information in Ukraine is a significant step in facilitating the transition to EVs in this important emerging market. It will also provide convenience for EV drivers in the second-largest country in Europe.

Markus Dohl, VP of Sales Europe at Parkopedia, commented on the value of this partnership, stating, “This latest partnership demonstrates our continued focus on enabling EV drivers to locate and navigate to their desired charging locations around the world. In-car EV charging data plays a pivotal role in emerging EV markets and is crucial in facilitating the uptake of EVs in Ukraine.”

Erik Berning, CEO of AWT Bavaria, also emphasized the importance of this partnership in providing a better driving experience for customers. He stated, “By expanding access to charging stations and providing information about them, we are making electric car ownership even more convenient and affordable. Such important partnerships help to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly mobility in Ukraine and improve the experience of electric vehicle usage.”

This in-market service is powered by innovative charging point operators (CPOs) such as YASNO E-Mobility, TOKA, and Ecofactor, including the local IONITY network. GO TO-U, a previous collaborator with Parkopedia on additional EV charging services, is also part of this partnership.

Parkopedia is the leading connected car services provider used by automakers, organisations, and millions of drivers worldwide. It helps drivers find and pay for parking, EV charging, fuel, and tolls in 90 countries. Parkopedia is also developing indoor maps and algorithms to assist drivers and self-driving vehicles in finding available parking spaces and EV chargers.
