Pure Kitchens & Carpentry Ltd Wins UK Honours for Excellence in Kitchen Installation and Customer Service

New Forest-based Pure Kitchens & Carpentry Ltd has been crowned Kitchen Fitter of the Year 2025 at the Business Awards UK, recognising the firm’s blend of high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer care.

The company was launched in March 2021 by partners Mike Wale and Amelie Pauquet. From their early days as a small local outfit, the business has grown into one of the most respected names in kitchen fitting across the New Forest area.

“We started this business because we’re passionate about creating beautiful spaces that people truly enjoy living in,” said Mike, a skilled carpenter with more than 20 years’ experience and a background from Bournemouth and Poole College. “It’s not just about fitting kitchens — it’s about transforming homes and lives with quality craftsmanship.”

Amelie brought her expertise in painting, decorating and interior design full-time to the business in 2024, refining the couple’s holistic approach to projects. “Now we’re able to focus on every element of a project together,” she said. “From initial consultation through to aftercare, we make sure each client receives a seamless, stress-free experience.”

The road to success was not without difficulties. Mike faced emotional setbacks following the loss of his father — himself a tradesman — and the couple initially operated separately, contending with long hours, inconsistent collaborators, and pressure. “It was hard,” said Mike. “But we were driven by the idea of building something better, something we could both be proud of.”

Their shared dedication led to impressive growth. The business has more than doubled its turnover from £80,000 to £200,000 within a year, moving away from general jobs to focus solely on high-end kitchen projects.

Pure Kitchens & Carpentry is now a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen and has earned an outstanding reputation on Checkatrade. Their approach — combining technical precision with a personal, one-to-one service — sets them apart in a competitive sector.

With a trusted network of suppliers and subcontractors, Mike and Amelie manage each project with care, clarity and consistency — qualities that clients often highlight in their reviews.

Looking ahead, they plan to scale the business thoughtfully while preserving its heart. “We want to be known as the go-to name for kitchen fitting in the New Forest and surrounding areas,” said Amelie. “Not just because of our work, but because of how we treat people.”

With national recognition and a growing list of happy clients, Pure Kitchens & Carpentry Ltd is setting the standard for what a family-run business can achieve — through resilience, integrity, and a shared passion for craftsmanship.
