Therapist, supervisor, and resilience coach Annette Ansell has joined forces with Japanese company Enagic to mentor individuals marketing its acclaimed, medical-grade water ionisation system.
Operating in more than 40 countries for over 50 years, Enagic has earned global recognition for its Kangen Water technology, which is ISO9001 certified and has won multiple awards. Annette says the company’s strong ethics and credibility were key factors in her decision to collaborate.
Her own journey has been defined by perseverance. Once a homeless single mother of three, Annette transformed her experiences of hardship into a career dedicated to helping others overcome adversity.
Looking back on the sweltering summer of 1976 — still the hottest on record — Annette recalled her struggle to survive while caring for her three children, aged six, eight, and ten. “We slept on mattresses on the floor of an abandoned caravan and lived on porridge, potatoes and hedgerow food I could forage,” she said. “It was poverty in its rawest form. I was constantly asking myself, ‘What will people think of me?’”
Living on just £1,548 a year — roughly £10,500 in today’s value — she refused to accept defeat, balancing childcare with a full-time degree, manual work in garages, and car body repairs. “I learned that I could do far more than I ever thought possible,” she said. “Resilience isn’t just a buzzword, it’s built through saying yes to challenges and refusing to give up.”
With over 20,000 hours of counselling and psychotherapy expertise, Annette now uses her life story to empower others to regain confidence and purpose.
She has supported more than 2,000 clients on their journey to self-worth and personal growth, while also training and supervising therapists across the profession to share her practical approach.
“My story proves you don’t have to stay stuck,” she added. “If I can raise three kids in a caravan and rebuild my life, I know others can thrive too. That’s the belief I bring to every client I work with.”
Motivated by a passion for helping single parents and those struggling during the cost of living crisis, Annette is leveraging her personal story and business partnership to inspire people to transform their lives.
Through her work with Enagic, she continues to demonstrate how personal experience can be turned into strength and opportunity. Combining therapeutic insight with a drive to foster financial independence, she aims to inspire others to build resilience and create lasting change.
